Hi all,

May I ask if we can use GTM-TIM module as the quadrature decoder to determine the speed and position of the inputs signals?

If yes can you please help to give me some pointers for more readings or suggestions?

Thank you so much.

Hi,

quadrature decoder is about counting edges and pulses. The GTM is able to do that. Once you have a clear idea what the GTM finally should do, you can go ahead and see which AURIX device you actually need. But be aware of different GTM implementations throughout the AURIX A2G family. You can find nearly everything in within the provided AURIX documentation, because they inherited it from the BOSCH GTM documentation where it originally comes from. Examples for inline ASSEMBLER coding (Multichannel Sequencer (MCS)) are provided from the GTM BOSCH website as well.

Best regards,
