Hello,

shortly I will start to evaluate the demo board for the TC397. I download the Aurix Studio and found that is provided with the winIDEA solution to debug/program purpose. I will use it with the Infineon DAP miniWiggler.

My question is related with the winIDEA: in the GUI I found this:

Do I need a license in order to program/debug a demo project? Or it is possible to debug without a license (or DEMO mode)?

Thanks

Hi,

It is applicable for both debug operations and flashing.

For Flashing, you can also try Infineon Memtool(https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/tools/aurix-tools/free-tools/infineon/)

Best Regards.

Hi,

1. You can find the details in the below link (The tool is free to use only if used by Aurix development studio)

https://www.isystem.com/downloads/winIDEA/help/infineon-dap-miniwiggler.html

2. I launched debug environment from "Aurix Development Studio" --> Debug menu. It automatically opened Windea Debug Environment. No license-related configuration was required. I have attached the screenshot.

Best Regards.

Thank you for the reply: I have another doubt.

It is possible to use the DAP miniWiggler to simply program a .hex to the micro? I found that the winIDEA has the "download" function, but it must be used with the Aurix Studio.

In the suggested page is noted:

Standalone DAP miniWiggler is not supported.

Is this for debug operations only or for flashing the code too?
