## Resonator as clock source for AURIX.

I am using AURIX SAK-TC364DP-64F300F AA & for this crystal oscillator c_NZ2016SHA_e.pdf (ndk.com) is considered.

The Vext supply = 5V for AURIX, 3.3V for Vflash, 1.25V for Vcore, oscillator works on 3.3V.

Below is the datasheet snap -

Is it fine to use 3.3V oscillator as clock source for above voltage supplies to AURIX ?

Can anyone help here..

We will use 3.3V oscillator for Vext = 5V for AURIX microcontroller.

An example sch here for NX3225SA-25MHz which is  a Quartz Crystal Units.

About oscillator with power, NZ2016SHA is a Crystal Clock Oscillator works <3.3V.

For oscillator with power, NZ2016SHA, is this compatible with AURIX SAK-TC364DP-64F300F AA microcontroller with Vext = 5V, Vflash = 3.3V?

VEXTOSC = VEXT = 5V as you described.   I am not quite sure if 3.3V is OK, I will post here if any info.

But, as per datsheet snap below,

The input at XTAL1 ranges from 0.3Vext to Vext + 1.0 means from 1.5V (0.3*5=1.5) to 6V (5+1=6).

Can you comment on this?

This is operation condition range. peak to peak means from negative to positive value of XTAL1. i.e. -0.7V ~ 3.3V  = 4V which is between 1.5V ~6V.

As you said earlier for Vext = Vosc= 5V & oscillator Vout = 3.3V, that you are not sure it is OK or not.

Can you pls suggest what can be done here?

Because we are not getting oscillators from standard manufacturer that run at 5V at 20MHz.
