I am using TC377TP device and I want configure SMU_FSPO pin (P33.8/W14) for SMU error indication to SBC.
The Ctrl configuration is given as “O”. If I configure this pin PCx[4:0] = 10000b (General-purpose output, Push-Pull Output) as shown below, is it ok ?

Thank you so much for your help. After reading above sections, it is clear to me how SMU interfaces with the Port. I was missing the configuration steps “Set P33_PCSR.SEL8 to 1, Set P33_PCSR.SEL10 to 0”. It makes sense now.
