The KIT_AURIX:TC277_TRB the AURIX is soldered to the board
The KIT_AURIX:TC277_S_TRB has a socket for the AURIX so you can change it.
To know the step of device you need to ask the supplier you are getting if from (hitex, Infineon).
If you sign up to the myInfineon and are granted AURIX access you can find information on how to use the software framework with iLLD's for the respective toolchains.
