Hello, I hope you are doing well.

I want to use the Evaluation Board KITA2GTC3975VTFTTOBO1  and I would like to know if there any template code to use a QR Code printer with AURIX™ Infineon Controller TC3X7. I would like also to know if there is any standards for QR Code generation.

Looking for your feedback.

Kind regards.

Hi Hassna,

yes there are for sure standards how to generate QR code patterns.
Try this link: https://worldwide.espacenet.com/patent/search/family/012640203/publication/EP0672994A1?q=pn%3DEP0672...

What type of printer are you looking at ? A thermal printer ?

Will be able to help better if you can share some more details. If the printer mechanism you plan to use supports one of the serial interfaces Aurix supports it should be possible. We do not have any template code to share .

Hello Winston,

Thanks for your feedback.

I am looking for a small cheap printer that can be added without the need to special ressource. After some researches, I can say that thermal printer can be the right solution. I am looking now for thermal printers references with the possibility to print QR CODE that can be used with Aurix Evaluation Board.

I am still searching to see what are the standards to print QR Codes and its feasibility on the actual project.

Kind regards.

Hassna

Hi Hassna,

There are various types of Thermal Printers you can get.

Some have a serial UART interface with a command set to do various types of text and graphics prints. https://www.adafruit.com/product/597

The other option is to go for a thermal printer mechanism, which will need a lot more signals and code but will be the cheapest options, one of the models listed here - https://www.fcl.fujitsu.com/en/products/thermal-printers/low-voltage/. The datasheet will cover all the signals needed to drive this mechanism. This will also need additional circuitry to drive the Stepper motor on the print head.

Either option is feasible with Aurix. I will recheck if there is any sample code, but its highly unlikely. Is the Aurix doing any other functions besides printing ?
