In porting code fromTC29x to TC39x, I have run into a problem with incompatible SMU implementation in TC39x: The SMU Kernel Registers shown in Figure 172 of part 1 of the user manual (SMUV.0.23) is the only mention of these registers. For TC29x this space was occupied by the KRST1, KRST0 & KRSTCLR registers. Anyone know why are they missing in TC39x, and what the equivalent way is to reset the SMU kernel for TC39x?

Hi,

Will SMU in the "START" state suit your use case?

You can refer to "Figure 164 SMU_core state machine: state actions" for the properties of the "START" state.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Just to clarify, the "SMU Kernel Registers" in the figure refer to the SMU module registers.

Only the SMU kernel reset register is not available in TC3xx compared to TC2xx.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, and thanks for the clarification. What do you suggest we to use instead to suspend the SMU unit for atomic regions, such as the downloading new ECU firmware?

Best regards
