I too am in the process of enabling time stamping on the Aurix TC3XX. In the example you provided I saw a comment that mentions
System Time Update logic requires a 50-MHz clock frequency to
achieve 20-ns accuracy, 50MHz clock is internal to GETH-IP
Does the mean that the PTP system clock will always update at 50MHz - i.e the System Time Nanoseconds register will accumulate the value from Sub-Second Increment register (SSINC) at 50MHz?
Is it possible to change the update frequency to a value other than 50MHz, and if so how?

Hi rpk,
AURIXTC3XX_ts_V1.3.0.PDF
You can check 36.2.2.4 Time Stamp Error Margin and 36.2.2.5 Frequency Range of Reference Timing Clock.
