Hi Lucas,
In regard to circuit HSSL it is quite simple:
a) You need to connect the LVDS Master-TX/Slave-RX and Master-RX/Slave-TX.
And you have to provide the SysClk fro master to slave. In summary five connections.
b) Master is clocked with crystal and slave is clocked from master-sysclk.
c) In regard to termination you can either go for external or internal termination.
I would advice to go for internal termination. External termination was just introduced for flexibility but internal termination works without issues.
