Hello, I am studying clocking system chapter of AURIX_TC3xx user manual in that below section 10.3 Clock Sources, I have came across part 10.3.1.1 External Input Clock Mode , in this section I am curious about how does this External Input clock mode works via EDSADC external modulator, Can any one show me light on how exactly EDSADC external modulator is working as clock source?

Hi,
as far as I know if we regard to external clock source you need to provide at least an external crystal / ceramic resonator or an external stable clock source as mentioned in the documentation. EDSADC is an "Enhanced Delta Sigma ADC" which is actually not used for this purpose. Once you have your stable clock source -which you must have-, there is no need for getting any EDSADC channel involved.
Best regards,

Hello,Ashwini.
The DSADC module is for e-motor rotation decoding which integrate Delta/Sigma.It can product clock, but it's for modulator or demodulator shown in below figure.
The part 10.3.1.1 External Input Clock Mode that you mentioned is for CGU unit which generate bus clock, peripheral clock(fPER shown in up figure). In this mode, you just input external clock signal(eg:20MHz) to MCU.

Thank you for this explaination!!
