Difference in variable allocation: LMU vs CPU core memory

in terms of memory access time in AURIX, what is the difference if variable is allocated at LMU (Local Memory Unit) vs CPU core’s memory?

Hi Lina,


LMU has hardware interconnection with CPU core via Shared Resource Interconnection (SRI). Therefore, memory variable access at CPU core via Data Scratch-Pad RAM (DSPR) is faster compared to LMU.
