Hello,

I'm confused with the TC2x Data Sheet where we could read :

Data Flash Endurance per EEPROMx sector (NE_EEP10 C): 125 000 cycles Min

and

Number of erase operations on DF0 over lifetime (NERD0 CC): 750 000 cycles Max

I did not really understand the difference between these two values.

Does it means that if the 12 sectors are used evenly distributed, the maximum cycles for each sector is 62 500 cycles Max (750 000 / 12) ?

Hi,

DF0 contains both EEPROM & UCB. I've taken TC29x as reference and tried to answer your queries below:

The value of 125000 cycles is the minimum value for Data Flash Endurance (P/E) per EEPROMx sector with max retention of 10 years. We have 96 EEPROM sectors in TC29x as shown in the above image.

The Number of erase operations on DF0 (complete) over lifetime is 750000 cycles and this is maximum value.

Thanks you Prudhvi.

How are computed the erase operations ? If several sectors are requested to be erased, this is counted as one operation or counted as the number of sector ?
