Hi,

Can we perform synchronization parallel conversion together(at a time) for both primary and secondary clusters? For TC37x?

Primary- G0_CH0,G1_CH0,G2_CH0,G3_CH0

Secondary- G8_CH0,G9_CH0,G10_CH0,G11_CH0

Hi Tej,

Please refer to the picture if you want to have ADC kernels conversion happens in the exactly time without any jitter:

If you accept some jitter, you could refer to our colleague second solution: use same common hardware trigger.

Thanks

For synchronized conversion across primary and secondary clusters, it is also possible to use the standard master-slave method on some devices. For example TC33x and TC32x support such way too. Please refer to the appendix user manual for your device. Master-Slave method makes sure that synchronized ADC groups will start sampling at exactly the same time.

If master-slave is not supported between primary and secondary groups, then you can share a common hardware trigger (e.g. from GTM ) among any ADC groups. With such method, there could be 1 or 2 fADC (160MHz) clock time difference among these ADC groups, regarding start of sampling. As fADC is 160MHz, 2 clocks is 13ns.
