Hello Support,
Aurix 2G Watchdog Expiry event is connected to SMU Alarms which produces the required reset/NMI to CPU.
Can this connection from WDT to SMU Alarm be disabled using SMU Configuration, so that there will be no more Watchdog reset/NMI to CPU when WDT expires?
I am assuming it can be easily disabled by changing SMU AGC Registers so that CPU will continue running as normal even though WDT has expired without any service tick.
Please confirm.

Best Regards

Yes, it is possible to maliciously reprogram the SMU registers to disable the alarm for the watchdog recovery timer, which normally causes a System Reset.
But you could only do that when the SMU configuration is not locked.
And the registers are Safety Endinit protected, so you couldn't do it by accident.
