Hello,

I have upgraded my AURIX Development Studio install to version 1.7.2 from version 1.6.4 - as part of this, the DAS server version was upgraded from version 7.2.0 to 7.3.7 - however, it looks like it has been uninstalled, and I cannot seem to reinstall it.

When trying to debug, I get this error:

User22686_0-1657804620913.png

When I try to run the DAS installer, I get an error saying that DAS version 7.3.7 is installed, but I cannot find it.

The log is below:

I have tried reinstalling ADS, as well as removing the C:/Infineon folder, but neither of these have worked.

Please let me know what I can do to resolve this,

Finn

Hi dw,
My colleague has the ADS 1.5.4 installer, so I have installed ADS 1.5.4 and now I can debug. I guess this problem can be solved by the following procedure if Free TriCore Tools is installed. Could you please make this my idea one of solutions?
- Uninstall Free TriCore Tools
- Install Free TriCore Tools
- Install ADS 1.5.4

Hi Finn,

If you click "No", please try to debug. I once met this issue, and I clicked "No".

Hello,

When I click 'No', the debugger does not run, so I am not able to debug.

I've just plugged in a DAP miniWiggler into my PC, and it isn't recognised by Device Manager:

User22686_0-1657809789510.png

It looks like the DAS driver has been uninstalled, but there is no way to reinstall it as I cannot get pass the 'Found existing installation: DAS - 7.3.7' error message.

Hi Finn,

I posted my screenshot of Device Manager, you could try to reinstall .inf file which could be searched in your c:\Program Files\DAS64\others\driver\ftdi

Hello,

My C:/Program Files/DAS64 directory is completely empty apart from the InstallationLog.txt file, as shown below:

I wonder if there is anything else I can try?

Thanks,

Hello,

I have tried to install it, but get the following screenshot:

User22686_0-1657885339838.png

However, I was able to successfully install version 7.1.8 from the Infineon website, but AURIX Dev Studio expects >= 7.3.5, so I'm not sure I'd be able to use this to debug.

I also tried upgrading this 7.1.8 install to 7.3.7, which only gave me the option to completely remove 7.1.8, without actually upgrading to the newer version.

I hope this helps you understand what is going on,

Hello,

Yes I have - I have completely removed everything Infineon related on my PC, and have tried to reinstall - the AURIX Development Studio installer doesn't install DAS, and when I run the installer for DAS, it's still stating that DAS is already installed, yet there is no trace of the DAS64 folder and no DAS entry in the Start Menu.

Hi Finn,

I uninstalled DAS 7.3 and ADS popped up an ERROR window as below. And then I reinstall DAS 7.3, the debugging process is go back to OK again for ADS1.5.4.

So, could you please try another PC with a clean  system?

Hi Finn,

I had the same problem as you. My ADS and UDE had not allow debug connections. After reinstalling the Free TriCore Tools, some files were placed in C:\Program Files\DAS64 and I have been able to debug with UDE.

I have uninstalled ADS, so I have not confirmed that debugging is possible with ADS yet.

Hi Ota,

Currently you can only use Hightec and UDE starter compile and debug, right?

Hi dw,
I can use UDE starter compile and debug.
If I have time, I will confirm that ADS can also be used.

Hi dw,
When ADS 1.6.0 is installed, C:\Program Files\DAS64 will be empty.
Since there is no version of ADS older than 1.6.0, Could you please attach ADS 1.5.4 to this forum?

Hi NXTY,

As there is no early version of ADS for download, I will ask if we can provide a link and reply you soon.
