Hi Infineon,
Does CYW43455 support to run 11n/11ac 40MHz bandwidth in 2.4GHz band?
Regards.
Frankie
Can you provide an application note or instructions for Bluetooth Qualification (BTSIG) and reference QDID for the Cypress CYW43455?
Dear Sir,
Environment:5G 802.11ac.
The bcmdhd F/W is from internel AMBA CV2X firmware.
FMAC F/W is from "FMAC-2021-10-20".
Chip:43455
We use the bcmdhd F/W and FMAC F/W to test throughput.
We find the difference with data rate and throughput.
Bcmdhd F/W is better than FMAC F/W not matter data rate and throughput.
Data rate of Bcmdhd F/W is 132Mbps.
Data rate of FMAC F/W is 72Mbps.
Question:
1.Is it correctly in the data rate.
2.how to set data rate of FMAC F/W to Bcmdhd F/W.
3.how to improve the performance.
B.R.

Show LessHi Infineon,
We do have a prj that planned to use CYW4373E (USB type) to work out the Wi-Fi AP feature, and the one of the mandatory is to acquire the Wi-Fi Alliance(WFA) WPA3-Personal certification for AP mode. so the question is :
1. We saw the data sheet of CYW4373E to show that it's to support WPA3-personal. but it doesn't show that it's to support for STA or AP mode, so the question : Is it to mean that CYW4373E supports WPA3-Personal features for AP mode ? or only to support for STA mode ? or both ? any comment ?
2. As the data sheet of CYW4373E to show that it's to support WPA3 personal, and the latest SPEC of WPA3-Personal is R3. so the question : Is the present CYW4373E supporting up to R3 ? or only R2 or earlier ? or or any comment ?
3. Is the present FW/SW/tool of CYW4373E ok to pass the test of WPA3-Personal R3 for AP mode ? if it's, can you show us where it's to download the FW/SW/tool ? or any comment ?
Thanks,
PeterC
Show LessDear Infineon team,
we are experiencing the following behaviors.
HW: CYW4343W (Laird Sterling LWB) within Variscite DART-6UL SoM
FW: BCM43430A1_v001.002.009.0142.0511.hcd (within Yocto Dunfull, kernel 5.4.142, bluez 5.55)
Repro Steps:
- bluetoothctl: power on
- bluetoothctl: advertise on
Connect using BLE Scanner App on phone.
- bluetoothctl: disconnect
Phone with Android 11 & 12 force an automatic reconnection.
- bluetoothctl: disconnect
Phone with Android 11 & 12 force an automatic reconnection but the kernel now notifies the following messages
[17196.416963] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x2006 tx timeout
[17198.497135] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x200a tx timeout
The only way to recover is stopping the hci interface and the brcm_patchram_plus binary to reload the BT firmware and restart the BT interface.
Phones with Android 11 and 12 show this behavior. Tested phones: Samsung Galaxy S20/S22, Google Pixel 3XL/4A/6 and Nokia 5.3
Phones with Android 10 or below do not show this behavior and upon disconnect, the phones don't try reconnecting.
Are you aware of any known similar behavior ?
Thanks
Best Regards
Pier
Show LessI'm using a CYW43012 as part of Murata's LBEE59B1LV module. In our product, we need to reduce the transmit power of the CYW43012 to account for the antenna gain.
When using the Manufacturing Test firmware (wl0: Sep 1 2021 22:28:20 version 13.10.271.273 (9278a67 CY WLTEST) FWID 01-d304ce6e) , I can see that changes to maxp2ga0 and agbg0 are reflected in the output of running "wl curpower". When I perform an active scan using "iw", these settings do not seem to affect the output power of the device.
Details of the firmware, and the NVRAM dump:
# wl ver
wl0: Sep 1 2021 22:28:20 version 13.10.271.273 (9278a67 CY WLTEST) FWID 01-d304ce6e
# wl nvram_dump | grep -e "maxp2ga0" -e "agbg0"
agbg0=0x82
maxp2ga0=0x44
wl indicates that these changes are taking effect, e.g. the agbg0 setting is correctly being handled as a 2.5dB gain on the antenna:
# wl curpower | (head; tail -n 4)
Power Control: On, HW
Current Channel: 1
BSS Channel: 0/5
BSS Local Max: 0.0 dBm
BSS Local Constraint: 0.0 dB
Channel Width: 20MHz
User Target: 31.75 dBm
SROM Antgain 2G: 2.50 dB
SROM Antgain 5G: 0.0 dB
SAR: -32.0 dB
Maximum Power Target among all rates:15.50
Last est. power : 0.00
Power Target for the current rate :10.00
Last adjusted est. power : 0.00
An example use of iw to scan in a specific channel (which we then observe using a spectrum analyzer)
# iw dev wlan0 scan freq 2412 > /dev/null
Expected behaviour:
Changing the antenna gain the NVRAM file (i.e. by adjusting agbg0) will adjust the transmit power when performing an active scan.
Observed behaviour:
No change in transmit power.
Questions:
- Is the contents of the CLM blob overriding these settings?
- If so, how can we adjust the CLM blob?
Dear Sir,
When I do iperf test, the error is shown.
After the error message is shown, we will not use "wl" command.
What is mean for " brcmf_proto_bcdc_query_dcmd: brcmf_proto_bcdc_msg failed w/status -110"?
The issue is not easy duplication.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi,
I am planning to integrate BCM43438A0 with AM3358 for our custom application. We are looking for the WL utility for FCC certification of the same.
Dear Sir,
Do you have any throughput reports (5G/2.5G)for our reference?
My environment is Sigmastar SAV530Q(SDIO 2.0)+Linux kernel 4.9.84+CYW43455.
B.R.
Bill.
