Hello,

The CYW4373 landing page shows MODUS as the SDK and then has two partner modules.  From what I understand, both modules are for Linux utilizing the i.mx6, i.mx8, etc.

Is it possible to use this device with an MCU?  If so, will it work with a PSOC6 within MODUS?  As well, is it possible to use Cortex M7 based MCU w/Free RTOS?

Thank you.

Hi @RiCa_296421 ,

Yes, it is possible to use 4373 module with Modustoolbox with PSoC 6 as the host. In MTB, you can load the PSoC 6 + 4373 using the BSP CY8CEVAL-062S2-LAI-4373M2

https://github.com/Infineon/TARGET_CY8CEVAL-062S2-LAI-4373M2

https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/evaluation-boards/cy8ceval-062s2/

The PSoC™ 62S2 evaluation kit (CY8CEVAL-062S2) has PSoC 62 MCU and a M.2 interface connector to connect the M.2 radio modules. By default, the kit package includes Sterling-LWB5+ M.2 radio module (CYW4373) from Laird Connectivity.

Yes, it is possible to use M7 Host MCU with this controller. You can refer the STM32 connectivity package, where this is an example of Non-infineon MCU interfacing with Wireless combo chips.

Bragadeesh - this is very helpful!  THank you.  I have a follow on question - for the STM32 M7 I do not see a USB Example.  Do you know if there is an example code of a PSoC6 using the SYW4373E over USB instead of SDIO?  I did not see any.  Thank you!

Hi,

If you're referring to the interface between the radio and the PSoC6 then unfortunately we don't have any example code of PSoC6 using 4373E over USB instead of SDIO. The WHD driver doesn't support USB as of now.

Please check for more info -

Thanks

Aditi,

Very helpful.  Thank you!  On the 4373 - the release notes (above on github) state WPA3 was added in 2.20.  Is this personal and/or enterprise?  Also, if it is not enterprise - will it be added?  any information you can provide is very helpful.

Hi,

It definitely supports WPA3 Personal but I'm not completely sure of WPA3 enterprise support. I'll get back to you on the enterprise query.

Thanks

Hi,

As per the internal team, the support is for WPA3 personal for STA/AP  in WHD v2.2.0 and  WPA3 R3 Enterprise is only supported for STA.

Thanks
