First question asked Welcome!
I'm taking into consideration to use Cypress CYW43455 that integrated in LBEE5HY1MW module.
Our technologies use BT5.0 and need to communicate with this module as Client.

I have found the attached spec, and still have some questions related the BT Low Energy spec.
  1. Does this module support Long Range mode ? primary Coded phy ?
  2. What is the sensitivity of the BT transceiver?
  3. What is the maximum power gain of the antenna? could it transmit in 8dbm ? what are the ranges ?
  4.  Is there a available detailed datasheet that I can read about it?

Hi,

  • It supports Class 1 (100 m) and Class 2 (10 m) operation.
  • Please  check the " Table 29. Bluetooth Receiver RF Specifications", "Table 30. Bluetooth Transmitter RF Specifications", "Table 32. BLE RF Specifications" in the datasheet. The typical Tx power is 8.5dBm. For BLE stack 10dBm EIRP limitation is there.
  • I think the datasheet is self explanatory. Please let us know if you have any specific doubt in it. We will help you.
