nRF Connect for Desktop connectivity issue with CY5677 CySmart BLE dongle

I am using Bluetooth Low Energy v2.5.2 in nRF Connect app for Desktop. With CY5677 CySmart BLE 4.2 USB Dongle plugged in, when I select device to connect, I receive an error message saying "Received status with code 0 PKT_SEND_MAX_REACHED, message: 'No response from device. Tried to send packet 6 times. Error occurred when opening port. Errorcode: NRF_ERROR_TIMEOUT (0xd)". I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, reboot my PC, tried different USB ports, use different BLE app and make sure that the dongle is still working. Can you someone help me with this? Thank you so much
