Hello,
We have built a custom board using CYBT-253059-02 module. Our custom board uses the same design as provided in the evaluation board (except not using the 32.7 KHz crystal).
An evaluation board (CYBT-253059-EVAL) is used to program/debug our custom board (we have done this with a number of our custom boards with other CYBT modules). To do so, HCI UART and PUART from CY7C65215 on evaluation board are routed to our custom board with SW4 and SW5 (on evaluation board) in OFF position.
In ModusToolbox, we are able to program the CYBT module on the evaluation board but cannot program CYBT module on our custom board.
3 samples of our custom board were tested: we were only able to program one of these boards once; any further program attempt was failed. The Recovery/Reset process does not fix this.
Below, at the end, is the console data showing that “Serial port not detected”.
Questions:
1- Any idea why we cannot program the module on our custom board?
2- Is the CYBT-253059-02 module on evaluation board is different than those available in the market, both have the same marks?
3- Is possible that we cannot program the module because we are not using the crystal on our custom board?
4- As indicated in the console message, the component is 20820A1. Should it be changed in the library to a different component?
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Abi

If the serial port was not detected, make sure no other program such as ClientControl has the port open.
If you have issues downloading to the kit, follow the steps below:
Press and hold the 'Recover' button on the kit.
Press and hold the 'Reset' button on the kit.
Release the 'Reset' button.
After one second, release the 'Recover' button.

Show LessHello,
now I am working with a CY8CPROTO-063-BLE board with bluetooth. I use two boards for Bluetooth communication, one board is sender and another is receiver.
According to the datasheet of BLE 5, the maximal output Adv/Scan TX power level and Connection TX power level can be set to 4 dBm (I have heard 20 dBm of BLE 5 but on the GUI not found) , I have set them to 4 dBm on the sender board, and I use another CY8CPROTO-063-BLE board as receiver(also set to 4dBm) to obtain the real-time RSSI value from the sender. But I found that the real maximal output power from the sender is only -9 dBm (when the two boards are put together) and does not reach the 4 dBm. The power supply of both boards are USB connected to computer.
I have also tried the lower TX power on the sender board, such as -20 dBm and -12 dBm, it works, but the maximal TX power is only -9 dBm, can not reach the 0 dBm or 4 dBm.
I need help from you, what is the problem? Is a external power supply neccessary for the BLE to reach the 4dBm power?
Thanks in advance!
Show LessWe would like to evaluate CYW920721 with our product audio codec board.(Not use CS47L35 codec.)
How should we modify "Audio_Headset_and_Speaker" sample code at least to achieve it?
We evaluate CYW920721 EVK for BT headset application.
Does CYW920721 have noise cancel feature? If yes, please tell us the example code to work it.
Hi,
This question is more on testing for manufacturing. I currently have the bluetooth chip in QFN package which is stored in moisture sealed bag JEDEC level 3. The component has been on the shelf for past 2 years dating back to Jun 2021 and is stored in a non-controlled environment. The minimum recommended storage is on the sealed bag is 24 months. I was able to find an Infineon document which stated max storage life of 36 months for Jedec level 3 sealed components. With this information do I still need to do baking and soldering test to ensure the chip is good to use or since the 36 months timeline has not been crossed, I can go ahead and use the chip directly. Any information in this matter will be helpful
Thank you
Show LessHello, I need help
I am using CYBLE-416045-EVAL_02
kitprog3_miniprog4
and the ide modus toolbox_3.0
I am trying to load the battery server example as shown in the project readme file, it says that this same example can be used to recharge to the board through OTA, but when I try to load the code
it show this error in the console
Error: [psoc6.cpu.cm4] clearing lockup after double fault
when i change the value OTA_SUPPORT=1 to OTA_SUPPORT=0 from the mikefile, the code example works and loads correctly, but without OTA functions, I need to use the example batteru client with OTA, to load firmware via OTA as what describes the code sample readme file
do i need an external flash memory?
Or, do I need to change something in the linker scripts file?
Can you tell me how to solve this problem?
Show Less- I noticed that the only "supervision timeout" parameter in the bt configuration struct (wiced_bt_cfg_settings_t) is the conn_supervision_timeout under ble_scan_cfg which is obviously for BLE, not BR/EDR. Is this the value changed when calling wiced_bt_dev_set_link_supervision_timeout()? does wiced_bt_dev_set_link_supervision_timeout() even makes sense for BR/EDR?
- What is the unit of the timeout argument to wiced_bt_dev_set_link_supervision_timeout()? Acording to some forum posts it is "multiple of 10ms" aka 500 = 5000ms. However, acording to the Bluetooth Core Spec it is "Time = N * 0.625 ms"
Initially, I implemented the factory reset and reboot commands on my module (cybt-343026-01 firmware ver 1.2.29) using the following:
/RFAC
/RBT
Following that, I attempted to establish pwm0 modulation with these commands:
SPWM,N=0,E=1,D=01,S=00,P=0400,C=0100
@R,000A,SPWM,020C
GPWM,N=0
@R,0027,GPWM,0000,E=00,D=00,S=00,P=0000,C=0000
See attached screenshot:
I did get the E=1; if I only sent "SPWM,N=0000,E=1"
However, it seems that I'm unsuccessful in configuring the pwm0 registers. Additionally, the scope probe connected to the pin doesn't indicate any clock activity. Could you clarify if I'm missing any critical commands in this process?
thanks,
Show LessRightnow I'm using CYBT-213043-MESH for my experiment. My problem is there is not much information for CYBT-213043-MESH.Especially the Block diagram or schematic diagram of CYBT-213043-MESH. I wonder if anyone has the information about Block diagram or schematic diagram of CYBT-213043-MESH?
Thank you!!
Show LessI am using CYW20706 and MTB(Modus Tool Box) SDK.
We are using "wiced_bt_iap2_get_auth_chip_info" located in iap2_main.c for MFI chip verification in the production process.
In the absence of the MFI chip, "bsc_OpExtended" did not return and not only failed to process the error, but also found that the watchdog was jammed and reset.
We don't have much time. Please check as soon as possible.
