# [CYBT-213043-02] Maximum input voltage of GPIO

Hello,

What is the absolute maximum rated input voltage for GPIO of CYBT-213043-02?
The datasheet has a description of the GPIO threshold, but I don't know the maximum value.

Please let me know when VDD is 3.3V and 1.8V.

Understood. VDDO should not be more than VBAT, on the safe side. Could you please keep the same voltage with VBAT?

Even so, 1.8V should not be more than 2.1V as VGPIO_ABS.

This module uses the CYW20819A1

It should not be more than the VDDO, on page 31, VDDO was not more than 3.45V.

So the GPIO input VDD should not be more than 3.45V.

Let me confirm two things.

Q1. When VDD=3.3V, is it correct that the maximum input voltage of GPIO should not exceed 3.45V?

Q2.What is the voltage when VDD=1.8V?

Both Q1 & Q2 should not be more than 3.45V.

Hi Sven_Wang,

Let me confirm Q2 again.

Module VDD is connected to VDDO1 and VDDO2, etc.

If 1.8V is supplied to the VDD of this Module, I am worried that the IO will be broken if a voltage of 3.45V is applied to the input terminal such as GPIO.

IO corruption doesn't happen?

Hi

The 3.45V is a max Voltage. Even if it's higher a little than it, it will not be damaged but may shorten the chip's lifespan.

In normally using, it's not a good idea to use the 3.45V for 1.8V even if it not be damaged immediately.

If GPIO can be broken, please tell me the guaranteed input voltage when VDD=1.8V.
For example, below is a datasheet for a PSoC based Module, but with [VGPIO_ABS] defined as VDD+0.5V.

Please tell me the same definition for CYBT-213043-02/CYW20819.

Also, VGPIO_ABS for PSoC-based BLE Module is "VDD+0.5V".

Is VGPIO_ABS for CYW20819 based Module "VDD(1.8V)+0.3V=2.1V"?

I want to check the VGPIO_ABS of CYW20819 based Module is lower than that of PSoC based BLE Module.
