/BTDIS command in EZ-Serial (CYBT-353027)

I understand that a /btdis disconnect command does not work in text mode while a SPP connection is active - it just gets sent to the other side. I know I can use GPIO3 to end the connection.

Is it possible to initiate a disconnection with /btdis in the binary mode format or will that also be ignored?

The command will also be ignored in binary mode.
