Hello,

I am not sure about the relationship between RF Certification and Bluetooth authentication of CYBLE-013025-00, so I have a question.

The data sheet has the following description.

Is RF Certification obtained using the Bluetooth Authentification BLE 5.2 protocol stack? Or are they not particularly related?

I have an another question.

Does the EZ-Serial firmware for CYBLE-013025-00 use the BLE5.2 protocol stack?

Best regards,

Yocchi

Hi,

Bluetooth SIG qualification is reequired inorder to check whether the bluetooth stack is compliant to the SIG spec or not. And the RF certification from different authorities is needed to check wehther the device follows the RF guidelines of the place/country where you are going to deploy or use the module/device.

Ez serial firmware supports till BLE 4.2 only. But the device CYBLE-013025-00 is BLE 5.2 SIG qualified. Meaning no BLE 5.2 features are there but it covers all the 4.2 errata.

Thanks,

Hello Dheeraj-san,

Thank you very much for your help.

Did covering all 4.2 errata change the protocol stack? Or is it a firmware change?

Best regards,
